Shenandoah National Park have over 862 wildflowers and 1406 vascular plant species! Shenandoah actually has a wildflower schedule. One of the prettiest wildflowers in Shenandoah is the Turk’s Cap Lily, they bloom in the end of summer. They’re a vibrant orange with dark red dots. A tree called Eastern Red Bud is located in Shenandoah and outside of it. They have pretty purple flowers and buds, it is a small tree but it can get very big. There are fungi and mushrooms in Shenandoah, most of the time they’re ugly but not the Shelf Mushroom. The Shelf Mushroom is a bright red and orange and is found on the sides of trees. turk's cap lillyTurk's Cap Lillie's are a type of wild flower commonly found in Shenandoah National Park. They're common in the east of North America. Sometimes they bloom up to nine feet. They are popular because they are edible, they nearly became extinct.

shelf mushroomEven though most mushrooms are ugly and gross, the shelf mushroom has a very pretty, vibrant orange and red. Sometimes the mushroom can be different colors. They range from 2-10 inches. They're on other trees but mostly oak trees. They are edible but mostly with chicken. Some have been found to way over 100 pounds.

eastern redbud treeRedBuds are commonly found in Shenandoah, but are also found in other areas around Shenandoah. They are found in the east of North America. They grow from 20 to 30 feet tall. Native American would eat them raw or by boiling them and ate the roasted seeds. They are best planted when it is cold and rainy.
